Austest is an approved public testing laboratory registered in Queensland and have previously been audited by NATA and Lloyds register of Shipping. Austest was also established in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Austest is the first & only officially approved and accredited Public Testing Laboratory for PNG.

INFRA RED THERMOGRAPHY
This procedure involves advanced thermographic analysis using “real time” images of any equipment that demonstrates a heat change during degradation.
Applications include:
Electrical and mechanical maintenance and the easy detection of overheating of bearings, switchgear, transformers, bus bars, overhead powerlines and substations.
Faulty components in electrical equipment can be quickly recognised. In any metal refining, smelting or sintering processes, wear of refractories can be clearlyidentified in pots, kilns, furnaces, ladles and torpedo cars. The integrity of cladding in buildings and cold storage units, insulation of boilers, pipework and steam traps can be easily monitored.

Field Surveys
Thermographic surveys are conducted on sites nominated by the client with a follow up of a detailed report with the thermal and visual images, text, and charts within a few days of performing this survey. The report and thermographic images/program can also be provided to the customer on disk.
NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT)
Some Non-Destructive Testing services offered include Ultrasonic examination, Eddy current, Magnetic Particle Examinations and Dye Penetrant Testing.
International Welding Qualifications
IWS & IWP to WTIA International Certification & Welder Certification to AS1796 including Welding supervision & Welding certificate levels 1 to 9, Welder Training / Qualification to any international standard, Mechanical Testing, Welding Procedures, Storage tank examinations, Holiday examinations for Pipelines and many other types of examinations are also available. We can provide valuable resources for Project work and continuing maintenance scheduling.
